Towerpoint Tennis Court Complex 7.6.10 The courts are proceeding quickly now. All five courts are poured and the new deck area is being worked on as we speak. The Tennis complex is going to be a wonderful Tennis Complex as well as a great gathering area for many events. With a 24 inch high 2800 sq ft covered deck we are in for a special winter. Couple of more days and the concrete should all be finished and after some dry time then the Tennis Surface will go on. The courts will be GREEN (yes it has been changed) with RED around the outside. The walls will be a very pleasant tan and we will have four ramps (no stairs) going into the court area. Rather than numbering the courts we had an idea to name them. We were brainstorming, Agassi (new court), Billie Jean (1), Connors(2), Evert(3) and Davenport(4) as the court names with some beautiful signs over the doors. Give me your thoughts on this blog and tell me what you think.
The New Court will be our Championship Court and we will have raised bleachers on the parking lot side of the courts for great viewing, cheering and encouragement. More details are still to come about a few of the details but rest assured we are going to have one of the nicest Tennis Complex's in the East Valley Tennis League.
Send me your thoughts and check out the pics and progress in the scrapbook or gallery.

Comments: Posted by : Clark Sheridan, 23rd August, 2010 - Monday , 12:28:20 PM Thanks for the picts's, etc. I was disappointed to read that the blue/green is being changed to green/red. The courts were just redone here blue/green. They look very nice and we can see the ball much better. I also vote for numbers, rather than names for the courts.
Clark Posted by : Admin, 8th July, 2010 - Thursday , 04:13:03 PM Thanks for the comments, so far it is names - 0 and numbers - 4. The voting is still on so we will see. I like the comments and the responses. Keep em coming!
DJ Posted by : Juaketa Hancock, 8th July, 2010 - Thursday , 02:57:12 PM I agree with most everyone else - numbers are better. Remembering a name is hard for us seniors. We miss ya. Juaketa & John Posted by : bill gilliland, 7th July, 2010 - Wednesday , 06:46:16 PM Lookin good. I think you should stick to #'s.
Bill Posted by : Rus Howe, 6th July, 2010 - Tuesday , 05:59:49 PM DJ, Work in Progress looks great!
Colors sound terrific.
Names for courts? Ehh, I'm not for it, even with (especially with?) tennis personalities.
So Center (Centre?) Court and #s 1-4 is cool; Stadium Court and Courts #1-3, plus "Outer Court" maybe.
Jalapeno, Habanero, Chile, Cayenne, Mirasol? naw, but that's better than a series of tennis names sure to cause endless dispute and discord.
JMO, YMMV
Rus Howe Posted by : Barbara Blackford, 1st July, 2010 - Thursday , 06:14:29 PM DJ - thanks for the pictures ! It's now July 1st -can't wait to see updated photo's of the courtyard, new tennis courts, etc.

Barbara & Wayne Posted by : Rus Howe, 17th June, 2010 - Thursday , 02:48:39 PM Great to see progress continuing despite the lack of oversight by a large corps of sidewalk superintendents. We're looking forward to this fall season! Rus & Marty Posted by : John Hilleman, 8th May, 2010 - Saturday , 07:34:10 PM The improvements being made sure are going to make next winter more fun. It sure is easier to talk to tennis players about joining us next winter with the new courts. Thanks for the pictures.
