A fun time was had by all who attended The Legends of the Surf concert on Thursday, February 4 at 4 pm and 7:30 pm here at Sun Life. Dean Torrence of Jan and Dean and David Marks of the Beach Boys were there. Also Philip Bardowell (Beach Boys), Matt Jardine – who could hit all those high notes (Beach Boys, Wilson/Philips), Don Raymond (Ventures, Jan and Dean), David Logeman (Jan and Dean, Frank Zappa, Beach Boys), and Gary Griffin (Beach Boys, Brian Wilson). It was such a fun time for everyone that came. Some of the songs that we got to sign along with because we all remembered them were ‘Little Old Lady from Pasadena’, ‘Let’s Dance’, ‘Runaround Sue’, ‘Help Me Rhonda’, ‘Dance, Dance, Dance’, ‘Do You Want to Dance’, ‘Surfin Safari’, ‘Deadman’s Curve’, ‘Jamaica Farewell’, and ‘Marguaritaville’, plus many more. We even had some people dancing in the isles.
